Just some of what I've been doing since coming to Japan . . .
* 2002 - I.C.S. (International Community Salon) was started.
Originally it was an open conversation forum for adults.
Later I also added a Moms and Kids Class.
(I.C.S. has now been brought to Kurt’s English)
* 2003 - Began teaching in the Akita City Elementary Schools (Shogako)
I have currently visited over 40 Elementary Schools in and around Akita City.
* 2004 - I took over the Akita Shinkin Bank Moms and Kids Program.
Formally called the "Akishin Culture Bank".
6 classes a week - Moms and yochien age kids / Moms and shogako age kids
This also included the Annual Halloween Parade and the Annual Christmas Caroling

* 2006 - I began doing classes at Komadori yochien - Still teaching there today.
* 2008 - I began doing classes at Tsuchizaki yochien - Still teaching there today.
* Plus various other projects including the prefectures Kokusai Rikai Challenge Club in
2004-2005, The 2006 Summer English Camp for elementary and jr. high school kids,
part time work at different eikaiwas as well as private adult and kids lessons.
* My family and I also enjoy taking part in the Tsuchizaki Minato Matsuri.
